Socialism, for all its moral appeal, often falls into the same trap from the opposite direction. It replaces the corporate oligarch with a bureaucratic planner. Resources are no longer owned by private entities—they’re administered by the state. But the scarcity remains, now justified by quotas and ration cards rather than dividends and price tags. The worker may be less exploited, yet still not free.
